Ir irregular conjugation present tense

The verb IR is used to talk about where you and others go. The verb IR is an irregular verb in the present and preterite tenses.

CONJUGATION OF THE VERB IR IN THE PRESENT TENSE:

USES OF THE VERB IR :

IR is used to say where someone is going by using IR + a + place

Nandy va a Colombia en junio. Nandy goes to Colombia in June.
Los estudiantes van a la escuela . The students go to the school.
Nosotros vamos a Miami . We go to Miami.

IR can also be used to talk about the future , using IR + a + infinitive:

Carlota va a comer en el restaurante. Carlota is going to eat in the restaurant.
Nosotros vamos a estudiar mucho. We are going to study a lot.
Yo voy a practicar piano. I am going to practice piano.

IR is also used to suggest that other people do some activities with you (Let's . ), using:
Vamos a + infinitive

¡ Vamos a caminar en el parque! Let go to walk in the park!
¡ Vamos a practicar baloncesto! Let's go practice basketball!
¡ Vamos a comer en el restaurante! Let's go to eat in the restaurant!
