A Florida sublease agreement is a legal document used by a tenant renting a property to lease the property to another party. This practice is known as subleasing or subletting, and the other party is known as the subtenant. Because the subtenant is not a party to the original lease agreement, the landlord will usually have to give permission for a sublease to take place. Additionally, the original tenant remains liable for the subtenant’s violations of the lease agreement, including the failure to pay rent.
Landlord’s Consent Form – Lease agreements will likely state whether the landlord’s permission is required to sublease.
